For drivers

Everything you need before your first fast charge.

Charging levels, connectors and battery behaviour, explained without the jargon, so your first public session feels routine.

The three charging levels

Level 1

3 to 5 miles of range per hour

A standard household outlet. Fine overnight, far too slow for a road trip.

Level 2

20 to 40 miles of range per hour

Home and workplace charging. Good for a full overnight top-up or a long dwell.

Level 3 (DC fast)

Up to 20+ miles of range per minute

What HondoGO builds. Most EVs go from 10% to 80% in roughly 20 to 40 minutes.

Know your connector

HondoGO stations carry multiple cable types so nearly any EV can pull in and plug in.

CCS1
The DC standard on most non-Tesla EVs sold in North America. Supported at every HondoGO charger.
NACS
Tesla's connector, now adopted by a growing list of automakers. Supported at every HondoGO charger.

Why charging slows near 80%

Batteries accept power fastest when they're relatively empty. As the pack fills, your car deliberately tapers the rate to protect cell life. On a road trip, two shorter stops from 10% to 80% almost always beat one long stop to 100%.
